The construction industry is built on strength — physical, mental, emotional. But beneath the high-vis and hard hats, too many are carrying heavy loads no one sees. Every week in the UK, two construction workers take their own lives. Most never asked for help. Most never said a word.
Tom’s Day was born from that silence. It's a campaign rooted in realism, built to start conversations, and designed to make a difference.
Tom is fictional — but his story is very real. It’s the story of the people we stand beside every day. The story of what can happen when no one asks… and what can change when someone finally does.
At the heart of the campaign is a booklet containing the full story and practical advise designed to help you spot the signs that someone maybe struggling and what to do to help.
To be successful, we need to get Tom's Day in the hands of the people that need it most. To raise awareness we are creating printable resource that can be displayed on worksites around the UK.
While Tom's Day does not offer professional advise, we have a host of information available, including contacts, links, and general advise. An easy place to come and and find all the sources of information you might need.
